Meet The Doctors

Mark C. Gorman, D.D.S., M.S.
After receiving his B.A. degree from Albion College, Dr. Mark Gorman obtained his D.D.S. from the University of Michigan and his M.S. in endodontics from the University of Detroit-Mercy. Dr. Gorman was published in the Journal of Endodontics in 1994 and often lectures at dental study clubs. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, Pierre Fauchard Academy, University of Detroit-Mercy Alumni Association and the Past-President of the Greater Cleveland Dental Society. As a way to give back to others, Dr. Gorman is a contributor to Habitat for Humanity and the Wounded Warrior Project.
Manuel F. Colaco, D.D.S.
Dr. Colaco received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Western Ontario. He then continued his education at Case Western Reserve University receiving his D.D.S. in 1994. He Graduated OKU and was inducted into the National Honor Society. He completed a one year General Practice Residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in Shaker Heights, Ohio. He finished up his education with a two year Endodontics program at the University of Pittsburgh. In practice since 1997, he was a former 8 year board member of the Greater Cleveland Dental Society. He has participated in numerous councils throughout the years. He is a member of The Akron Dental Society and the American Association of Endodontists. He continues his education annually at courses across the country. Dr. Colaco volunteers locally with MedWorks, an organization that provides healthcare to those in need.
He also contributes to CureSearch for Children’s Cancer, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and A Special Wish Foundation. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his two boys. He travels extensively for baseball with his sons. He also enjoys golf and running.

Joseph J. Jurcak, D.D.S.
Upon completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Dayton, Dr. Joseph Jurcak graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He finished his one-year general practice residency at Moncrief Army Hospital in Fort Jackson, S.C. and his endodontic residency at Eisenhower Medical Center in Fort Gordon, Ga. A published author, Dr. Jurcak is a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Endodontics and the American Association of Endodontists. Dr. Jurcak is board certified by the American Board of Endodontics and was an instructor in the Army’s one-year general practice residency program for seven years. In July 2000, he retired with the rank of Colonel. Dr. Jurcak is a strong believer in giving back to those who have served. He is a member of the Association of Army Dentistry, Association of the United States Army and Military Officers Association of America. He is also a contributing member of the Disabled American Veterans Honor Guard.
James B. Flynn, D.D.S.
Dr. James Flynn earned his B.A. degree in 1992 from Case Western Reserve University, where he also earned his D.D.S. four years later. He then attended a two-year General Practice Residency in the New Jersey VA Health Care System followed by a two-year postgraduate endodontic residency at the New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry. In private practice since 2000, Dr. Flynn is a member of the West Shore Study Club. He actively supports the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. He enjoys glass blowing, mountain biking and fly fishing in his free time.
Christopher Thompson, D.D.S.
Dr. Christopher Thompson graduated from Miami University with his B.S. degree in chemistry and continued his education at The Ohio State University where he earned his D.D.S. degree in 2005. Upon completion of his D.D.S., Dr. Thompson was stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas where he served as an active duty dentist from 2005-2008 and proudly deployed to Iraq in 2006. After carrying out his assignment, Dr. Thompson was accepted into the University of Illinois at Chicago specialty residency program where he obtained his certificate in endodontics. Dr. Thompson is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, Greater Cleveland Dental Society, Westshore Study Club, and the Greenbriar Study Club. Dr. Thompson contributes to foundations that are near to his heart and has worked with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and VeloSano Kids for the past several years. In his spare time, Dr. Thompson enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, and running.
THOMAS BURKE, D.D.S., M.S.
Dr. Thomas Burke grew up in Strongsville, Ohio before completing his undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University. He remained at OSU to achieve his D.D.S. degree in 2013. After completion of his dental degree, he accepted a one-year dental fellowship in OSU’s Advanced Endodontic Department. Dr. Burke completed his master’s thesis on the study of nickel-titanium endodontic instruments, earning his M.S. degree in endodontics from The Ohio State University in 2016. Dr. Burke is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the Ohio Association of Endodontists, the Lorain County Dental Society, the Greater Cleveland Dental Society and various local study clubs. Dr. Burke is also a contributor for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. In his spare time, he enjoys climbing, water skiing, and snowboarding.
RYAN P. ROMERO, D.D.S., M.S.
Originally born in the Philippines, Dr. Romero grew up in Elyria, Ohio and completed his undergraduate studies at Lorain County Community College and Kent State University. In 2008, Dr. Romero graduated Cum Laude from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Following graduation, he received his commission as a Captain in the U.S. Army Dental Corps and completed a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program (AEGD) at Fort Jackson, SC. As a general dentist, he served an overseas tour in Camp Casey, South Korea followed by assignments in Fort Meade, MD and Fort Bragg, NC. In 2016, he completed an endodontic residency program at Fort Bragg and earned a M.S. degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU). Following residency, he served as the chief of endodontic services in Fort Polk, LA from 2016-2019. Dr. Romero is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and is a member of the American Association of Endodontists. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and is an avid Cleveland and Buckeye sports fan.
aNTHONY r. ZOVKO, d.M.D.
Dr. Zovko was born and raised in Willowick, Ohio. He went on to complete his undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University before returning to Cleveland to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Case Western Reserve University in 2014. Immediately upon graduating, he was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy Dental Corps.
Dr. Zovko spent the next four years in the Navy stationed at the Great Lakes Naval base in North Chicago, IL and at the Marine Corps Recruiting Depot in Parris Island, SC. During these years he proudly treated our troops for both the Navy and Marines until 2018. After completing his service, Dr. Zovko was accepted into residency at NYU Langone Hospital Brooklyn located in Brooklyn, NY and earned his endodontics certificate in 2020. He believes in continuing education to stay the most up to date in the field of endodontics. Dr. Zovko is a member of American Association of Endodontists and Ohio Association of Endodontists. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and making homemade wine.
